Thank you, MSN Sports and PETA!

This Christmas season, I received the most beautiful gift imaginable: a short video produced by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), featuring my rescued racehorse Charlie and me.  This video gift became even more special when MSN Sports produced their own news feature about it!

In spring 2014, my late husband Greg made the courageous and compassionate decision to adopt our first two rescued horses, Henry and Caroline.  Given our near-total lack of prior equine experience, I couldn’t help but feel that divine intervention must be responsible for the success we experienced with these horses, and the joy we derived from caring for them together.

After Greg’s unexpected death, I couldn’t help but feel that it was my mission in life to continue and expand the initiative he had boldly started – to help more individual abused racehorses, and to help shine a light on general cruelty in the horse racing industry.  Charlie, the first animal I have rescued on my own, has given me an opportunity to do exactly this!
