Now Streaming: “Humans And Other Animals”
“Humans and Other Animals” is the latest documentary film from “Speciesism: The Movie” producer/director Mark DeVries – one that’s been many years in the making.
Now, this new film is available for streaming on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Google Play!
The Gregory J. Reiter Memorial Fund is among the executive producers of “Humans And Other Animals,” through an early donation to the Factory Farming Awareness Coalition, now New Roots Institute.
The streaming launch of “Humans And Other Animals” was preceded by a series of live theatrical premieres across the United States — and I was honored to attend the July 24 Philadelphia screening, where PETA founder and president Ingrid Newkirk delivered introductory remarks.
“Humans And Other Animals” interweaves global land and sea expeditions to the habitats of endangered species; conversations with leading scientists, philosophers, and legal experts; daring undercover investigative footage; endearing clips of animals at play; amusing person-on-the-street interviews; and more.
In DeVries’ words, “the film presents the whys and hows of the animal movement in a way that is thoroughly entertaining, easy to understand, and non-graphic. For the first time, a single film includes the evidence for nonhuman animals’ sentience, investigations into factory farming, the philosophical case for taking other animals seriously, the common objections and responses, and the practical steps that individuals and institutions can take.”
